Arctic Weather Alert
FROZEN & BURST PIPE ALERT:
You must leave faucets run at a steady stream during this arctic weather blast otherwise, they will freeze or possibly burst. This is for the exterior walls ONLY or pipes in overhangs. The insulation valve in exterior walls are not rated for these temperatures (This is critical).
GARDEN HOSE & BURST PIPE ALERT:
Please check one last time today and make sure you did not forget to disconnect and put your garden hose in your Garage or Basement. We have had several burst pipes and flooded Basements already this week due to the frozen hose bibs. Please locate your “shut off valves” in the Basement and turn them off (This is critical).
LOWER STEAM HUMIDIFIER IN YOUR HOME:
Please find your humidistat in your home and lower it for the next week to 25%. Any questions on this please call:

RAISE YOUR HEAT BY 2-4 DEGREES:
Please raise your thermostat by 2-4 degrees over the next 2-3 days to offset this arctic blast and frigid wind chill.
Homes in our area are not designed to handle these temperatures or wind chills. Please do the following steps above to minimize frozen pipes, heat system failures, burst pipes and major damage to your home. Old World Quality is always there to help our customers and look out for their best interests.
